Even though Thursday is almost over, I want to take the time to write a thanful post.
Usually when I do these posts, I say things like:
- I am alive
- For my husband
- For my kids and family
- For my friends
- For my job
- ETC...
I am thankful today for praying parents. I know, without a doubt, that I was prayed for by my parents. I was heading down a very different path as a teenager, some of you may know...I don't feel comfortable sharing the nitty gritty of it all, but it was a bad path. I was able to make some very important decisions that would change my life path drastically!!
The memories have come up after hearing and seeing so much in the news about Libya. Yeah, that is how random this is. I know that I was saved from a life that would have led to complete destruction of not only myself, but the destruction of others too.
Libya. Such a random location. Not many people would even think about Libya. For me, Libya means the path that I did not take. Even if you don't know what I am talking about (and maybe one day I will feel comfortable enough to share, cause it is an amazing testimony) you can just be thankful for the country you do live in. We are not at war. We are not fighting for bread. I do not know the extent of what is happening there, but I am thankful for where I am.
I really shouldn't post such heavy topics at this time of night. I know that already. But I had to get this off my chest.
I am thankful for praying parents. I am thankful that I have role models before me so I can continue that legacy for my children.
WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR?
