Yup, I put a smilie in my title. That is how much I love Sundays!
Most Sundays we spend going to church in the morning and then lazying around for the rest of the day, or hanging out with friends. We have been at our church for coming up 16 years!! We love it there and could never imagine being anywhere else. Our family (church family) have been with us, encouraging, crying, lifting us up and carrying us, through all our trials and celebrations. We could never find another community like this, I don't think!!
After service today I had the opportunity to go to a hockey game with Pete. A really great couple in the church offered us tickets. In all the years that I have lived here, I have never been to one of our local games, I have always sent the kids with him. This was a first for me. Even though I don't really enjoy hockey, it is a nice way for us to spend some time together. Our team won too!
I am taking advantage of the holiday we have here tomorrow, by taking a night awake shift at one of the houses here. Time and a half, and I don't need a sitter either:-) I will be tired by tomorrow, but it is nice to pick up some hours when I only have around 10 this week.
Looking forward to next weekend, the ladies are heading away on a weekend getaway!! I am so excited, it is nice to build these relationships on a different level and a great way to get closer to God too. In the peace and quietness of the Muskoka's...I can't wait!!
