I believe that God sometimes brings things back into rememberance for a reason. We don't always know what or why the reason is, but sometimes He just does.
This morning I was reminded of a time in my life.
I just got home from walking the girls to breakfast club (I walked today:-) and on the way home, while pushing Faith in the stroller, I was reminded of the first year the kids went to school.
It was September 2007 and we lived at the other house. I walked Cutie Pie to the bus every morning and Princess was going to another school just outside town. She was picked up by someone else.
I was pregnant with Faith and we were still in the process of living in our "show home"...the one that was ready to show at the drop of a dime.
Me and Pooky (who was 2 at the time) would walk home after Cutie Pie and Princess got on their respective buses and we would then have our breakfast. That usually contained yogurt and granola. We would sit on the porch, on the swing and swing and eat and just relax.
That was before I knew that our lives were going to be changed forever. That was before I learned how to be assertive and it was before I was bold enough to stand up for what I believed.
I am glad that I was reminded of this today. It started my day out with the cool picture of where we used to be and how far I have come.
So, as I sit here, enjoying breakfast with Faith, who is still 2, I remember my life before her...but could never imagine not having gone through everything we have been through.
Psalm 105:1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
2 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
4 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
5 Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
So, for this amazing memory of a time where my faith grew by leaps and bounds, I am thankful:-)
