This was taken 15 years ago!! Can you believe it?? When I realized how long it had been, I thought "I have almost been married half my life!!" I was a baby at 19 and was 6 months pregnant at the time (don't you love big crinolines!!)
My wedding was planned very quickly and was done very affordably (not going to use the word cheap, because it was amazing and didn't look cheap!!)
We had just moved back from Alberta and decided to get married in my dads church. It was just a nice small location and anyone was invited to come there. The lunch we had we invited only about 60 people. It was small and intimate.
The cake...we had a "model" of a wedding cake for pictures and we bought a white and a chocolate cake from a cake outlet and cut that up for the wedding cake (way less then a real wedding cake).
The gift bags at the end were just mints wrapped in cloth that we did ourselves. Very affordable (Hello Bulk Barn!!)
Peters tuxedo was rented, from Little Italy (Toronto area) and it was only $100 cash!!
And the best part of all!! My dress. It was so beautiful...it was actually second hand. It fit me with no alterations and had some very nice work on it. It looks expensive, had an amazing train...and was only $300!!!! Beat that?
It is what I call wedding on a budget!! LOL!
I still have my wedding dress, but have hummed and hawed about selling it...because really it is just taking up room...I am not extremely sentimental.
I found this really cool site PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com. I need to look into it a little more and see if it is something I would like to try out!!
I have been so busy that I missed out on the wedding dress blog tour that my friend Shash did on her blog...but...
I am just in time to tell you that this is the last day to enter the contest with PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com for some free blinc mascara!! Which would be the perfect topping to an ending of any emotional event you may have coming up!! All you have to do is become a fan on Facebook by clicking the like button!
And just for fun...so my husband can kill me!! Gotta love the mustache and mullet!! LOL!!
business in the front, party in the back. :) Love the pictures! You had a very pretty dress. I wish we had a bulk barn up here I miss that store soo much! lol
