Mom's on Vacation...

This is our ladies weekend away!! It was greatly anticipated...

You know, like the song "School's Out For Summer"?

My version is "Mom's On Vacation"

No more dishes, no more "looks", no more need for me to cook...

After my night at work last night, this weekend is even more needed!! I was moved to the dementia unit at the nursing home I am at and I was physically assaulted...it was the first time, and to be honest, I am happy that it happened. Sounds crazy, I know...but I was scared and now it is out of the way. I took a break right away and am happy that I went back and finished my shift. I made some really great connections and I am looking forward to finishing out my last 5 days.

Even moreso, I am happy that I will be heading to community placement in a few months. I have been meeting people who work at the location that I would like to go to. I really want to work with MFTD kids, even with palliative kids, if possible. We will see if I can be placed there or not...

Anyhow, so here I sit, WAY up north...in the middle of the snow and trees, and bushes and beauty and serenity. With good friends and new faces, I can't wait for the rest of the weekend, it is going to be so much fun.

The pic up top is me and my friend who are sitting here, at 2:40 in the morning, because this is what we do...breakfast is at 8am...hopefully we make it;-)
