Well, Princess thoroughly enjoyed school. She came in beaming from ear to ear and made the comment..."I don't know why people hate school"?
She showed us all the work she had done, and made sure to point out that the teacher said she had beautiful handwriting. We tell her this all the time, but it meant more coming from an outside source.
She chose to stay after school for the french club with a friend she had made, so my mom had to wait 15 more minutes for her.
She also said that she wanted to go back today, and why couldn't she.
So, that posed a whole discussion last night with Pete. What would be so wrong about signing her up now, to go for May and June? If you know our family, and speak with her, please don't mention this. We are still in the mom and dad talking stage...
But, it would mean 2 months of tuition and my reasoning is that it would bring her up to par for the grade 4 level next year. We have done no french at all and the math was a bit different than the curriculum we have chosen here. By going for these 2 months, I feel like it would just bring her up to date on what they are doing and allow her to build the relationships that she would continue into grade 4 as well.
What do you think? Is it silly for her to start school now? Should we wait? What are your thoughts on this?
Oh yeah, and now we are dealing with Cutie Pie who has been volcano'ing out of both ends since 2am...my house is so much fun!!
I don't think it's silly to send her for the last 2 months.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Princess liked school so much! I don't think sending her for the last two months is a bad idea - there seem to be a lot of benefits.
ReplyDeleteI hope Pookie feels better soon. Poor little one!
