Well, I think my last post was on Thursday. It has been quite hectic around here lately, although, I have no idea what I did on Friday, and on Saturday I was at my Usborne show...
Ok, let me tell you about Saturday...
We woke up bright and early in the morning and hubby drove me over to the school that I had a table at. I took Princess with me and we worked fast and furiously to set the table up, I never realized how much work that was to do.
I only got about 3 orders that day, but quite a few people took my business card, so we will see if anything comes out of that.
After the show, my friend, Cheryl, drove me home. That was when I realized that I did not have my keys. It was not my fault, however...
When we left at 7:45, hubby locked the house up with MY keys and put them in HIS pocket.
So, there I was, sitting on the porch and Princess was playing in the front with some friends. It was a beautiful day, and I figured hubby would be home shortly after 2, when Mr. Hockey's game ended, and it was already 1:30.
Hhmmm....
We had been waiting for what seemed like forever, when finally Princess had to use the bathroom. We headed over to the neighbours house and asked if she could go there. They couldn't believe we had been sitting out there for 1 and a half hours...YUP...it was 3:00.
Now, my neice was having her 1'st birthday party at 3 and we didn't have a gift. I had planned on heading out after the show, but obviously plans had changed.
I borrowed the neighbours phone and called hubby's cell phone, it wasn't working...I called my sister's house and hubby answered the phone.
In 12 years of marriage, we have never miscommunicated like that before. It was weird. He came and picked me up and I told my sister to pick a book from the catalogue for my niece.
There is way more to the story, but that was the gist of it...it was one of those you had to be there moments.
Sunday was good, we went to church and in the evening we went to one of the private schools we are looking into for a praise and worship night. It was a blast, loud and the kids had a blast. I really enjoyed the guest who spoke and I will have to talk about that a bit more in my next post. It was nice to see the school from a different angle, not in a school setting, but in a different function. Gave us a bit more insight to the school.
Anyhow, this is long. That is what happens when I don't blog for a few days...
Have a great night.
What a weekend! We spent ours outside working in the yard. It was 80 degrees here on Sunday! I got a sunburn and everything.
