Happy Canada Day!!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!

It is July 1st here. Canada Day...and what are we up to today? Not much. Princess left at 3:30 in the morning to head to Quebec with my brother, his wife and my niece. She was so excited to go without us, or my mom (who takes them out a lot!!)

Hubby is working today. He is getting paid BIG BUCKS today!! Holiday pay and overtime!! He has worked a lot this week. At least 60 hours. I am guessing this is what the summer is going to look like for us now. We will lose him for a bit, but the money will be nice. It will all slow down when the fall and winter hit, so it is just temporary!!

The other kids got up early and I slept a bit later this morning. They had their breakfast and Pookie and Cutie Pie came up to join me in bed!! So I got up and headed downstairs. Apparently someone (Cutie Pie) left the jar of peanut butter on the floor and Pookie just had a blast with it...so she headed up for a bath. After her bath, she headed over to the toilet!!! Mr. Hockey sat her on the toilet and she went poop!! So we now have a potty as our newest piece of furniture in the living room. She is 14 months old...am I just dreaming or can she really be toilet training???

We are heading out to fireworks at a local waterpark tonight. They have free admission after 8pm, but I don't think there is much to do after then anyways. It is the first time they are doing them though, I don't think I have ever haerd of this place doing fireworks...Hopefully hubby will be home in time. My kids love watching fireworks, so yay, this will be a fun night for them.

Last night a friend of ours called and said that they were selling their printer and would we be interested in buying it off of them!! Of course I said yes, so we finally have a printer again. It is a HP Laserjet. I told the kids that now I can print off all the schoolwork I want them working on through the summer...they weren't thrilled!!

I have been taking the medication for 8 days now. I have been feeling really good about it. I seem to have much more energy to get things done, like cooking, laundry, cleaning...things I would have cared less about before. I also find that I am going to bed before midnight (except last night) and waking up feeling rested. It is so unusual for me to wake up and feel like that. So, something is working good, and because I need to take it with food, I am eating breakfast too.

Then, with the Calorie Counting group I joined, I have lost 4 pounds. I was the biggest loser for the week and I earned a small reward. It was exciting to know that this is working. Hopefully I keep losing this weight. I am really feeling a whole lot better about myself!!

So, that is what has been going on over here. Oh yeah, and the blog olympics training camp (blog olympic headquarters) time is on now. It is over at Wendy's...she has been pretty busy over there this week!! Go and check it out. It is fun and informative, I have learned a lot of really cool stuff this way!! I haven't added my metals to my blog yet, but so far I have a bronze, 2 silvers and 1 gold!!

Anyhow, I am going to check out the soccer game now and see what the score is. Who was excited that GERMANY won yesterday? I sure was and Princess was ready to run around the street with our flag!! Pretty exciting stuff.
