Ok, so on Sunday morning we sang this song at church. I really love it and I probably put the lyrics here before...but I am not going to look for them, because I am tired:-)
Do you have those moments when you re just singing songs and then you start to sing other words? I get that a lot. I love singing songs that mean something. I ended up adding my own verses to it, and I actually remembered to write them down, so I thought I would share...(big, big step for me!!)
You wrap me in your arms
Protecting me from harm
I'm safe in your embrace
I'm safe in your embrace
I worship at your feet
Your Spirit surrounds me
I love to praise your name
I love to praise your name
I just kept singing this over and over again. It hasn't stopped going through my head!!
Thought I would share.
The splendor of a King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in Light,
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
this is fast becoming one of my favorite songs and I love how God focused it is and not just on "feelings"
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorites! As I was reading your post, of course I was singing it...and boy is it a good thing God says to make a joyful noise. I am afraid my singing has more to do with noise...but my heart is full of joy when I sing so I guess that counts. Did I mention, no one is here to hear me?
